Man That Touched Ariana Grande during Film Launch Banned from Singapore
An individual of Australian nationality who jumped past a barrier and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.
Johnson Wen, 26, was given a sentence to over a week in prison for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the country's border control stated to local media.
He forced his way beyond security and charged at the celebrity, who was participating in the regional launch for the musical adaptation on the thirteenth of November. Co-star Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.
He has a background of disrupting concerts and high-profile gatherings, including leaping onto the platform at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in June this year.
The incident provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with several individuals accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.
The singer has discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a explosive incident at her performance in Manchester in several years ago killed 22 individuals and injured hundreds.
Throughout the court proceedings, the court heard he had attempted to intrude on the movie's debut on two occasions, according to Singaporean media.

The man subsequently shared video clips appreciating the celebrity for letting him on the carpet and said he was "free."
Law enforcement detained him the next day and charged him with causing a disturbance, to which he confessed.
The Presiding Judge the magistrate was quoted by a news outlet as saying that the man sought attention, adding that he was incorrect to believe he would not suffer any consequences.
The actress has not spoken about the incident.
Cynthia Erivo spoke about the situation to a media outlet, remarking that she "just wanted to make sure my colleague was protected."
"I'm sure he had no intention to us danger, but you never know with these incidents, and I wanted to make sure that she was OK. That was my immediate response," she commented.
