Kansas City Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Claims Involving Player the Athlete
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of player the athlete and had been in communication with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of the player specifically in their announcement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention the athlete directly, shared a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones did say the person involved was the father of her children, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the team drafted in the 2023 draft.
Official Complaints Reportedly Unavailable
No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the first six games of this NFL campaign due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in causing a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that resulted in multiple people hurt. He was given 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to felony charges.
